Ancient traditions, family histories, natural colour palettes, and superior weaves are all characteristics of our vintage & antique rug collection. Each rug is a one-of-a-kind, unique piece of history, coming from a region richly steeped in superior rug craftsmanship. Their hand-knotted construction provides outstanding quality that stands the test of time, allowing them to be family heirlooms passed down through generations.
Made out of 100% handspun wool, these rugs are often naturally dyed with vegteables and other elements from the environments in which they were born. The details and motifs lend to stories and traditions specific to the region the rug was woven in, and there’s always much more than meets the eye. This is the collection for the history buffs, the quality seekers, and those who truly value the complexity and beauty of a rug that has withstood generations.
Each rug is photographed in natural light, and depending on the lighting conditions in your home, the rug may look brighter or darker in your space.
This one of a kind vintage Anatolian rug was hand knotted in Turkey in the 1960s using 100% wool and vegetable dyes. It features a low pile and a flexible construction. The rug is in excellent condition. A rug pad or anti slip pad is suggested in order to prevent slippage or movement of the rug on the floor.
This rug has been professionally cleaned. Spot clean with soap and water as needed, or have the rug cleaned by a professional if necessary in the future.
