This one of a kind antique Persian Malayer rug was hand knotted in Iran in the late 1800s (1890s) using 100% wool and vegetable dyes. It features a low pile. Note that the rug is quite thin, and is worn down to the foundation in certain areas. There is one very minor hole (see photos), as well as some fraying on the edges and sides. The rug has been professionally cleaned. Spot clean with soap and water as needed, or have the rug cleaned by a professional if necessary in the future.
